CANAL/RESERVOIR LINING

1. SUBSTRATE

Typical: concrete

  • The substrate will be clean, dry, smooth and free from contamination.

2.DRAINAGE LAYER

Typical: 200-300 g/m² geotextile

  • Install loose, with 100 mm overlap

3.SINTOFOIL MEMBRANE

Typical: ST/Black/1.2mm

  • Any type of Sintofoil membrane is also acceptable, depending on the specific situation.
  • Horizontal area: install loose, with overlap and welded seam as per specifications.^
  • Vertical area: weld to sheet laminated metal strips mechanically secured to the substrate.
  • Termination: mechanically secure the membrane by welding to a sheet laminated metal reglet.
  • For potable water reservoirs, make sure to use the GW (blue) membrane.
  • Adhered system is also possible, using FB membrane and FB-SF Adhesive.*

Note:
Earth substrate: the general contractor will be responsible for adequate compaction.
