FOUNDATION WATERPROOFING-VERTICAL SURFACE

1. SUBSTRATE

Typical: concrete screed

  • The substrate will be clean, dry, smooth and free from contamination.

2. SEPARATION LAYER (MECHANICAL SECUREMENT ONLY)

Typical: 200-400 g/m² geotextile

  • Install loose, with 100 mm overlap

3.SINTOFOIL MEMBRANE

Typical:ST/Black/1.5mm

  • Any type of Sintofoil membrane (recommended thickness: 1.5 mm min.) is also acceptable.
  • Install with overlap and welded seam as per specifications.^
  • Secure to the substrate:
    - by welding to sheet laminated metal strips mechanically secured to the substrate.
    - by adhering to the substrate using FB membrane and FB-SF Adhesive.*

4.PROTECTION LAYER

Typical: 30 mm protection course

  • Install spot-bonded, with butted joints covered by a self-adhesive tape.

5.DRAINAGE LAYER

Typical: 300-500 g/m² geotextile

  • Install loose, with 100 mm overlap.

6.BACKFILL
