FB-SF Solvent Free Substrate Adhesive

1. DESCRIPTION

Synthetic rubber based adhesive designed for bonding the ST and RG Sintofoil membrane to concrete, masonry,wood, metal and other acceptable substrates*.

* Flashing/Substrate Adhesive is compatible with most solvent-resistant substrates. A preliminary inspection is recommended prior to application.

4.COVERAGE RATE

  • Field zone: 0.150 to 0.250 kg/m², depending on substrate type.
  • Perimeter zone: 0.225 to 0.375 kg/m², depending on substrate type.

5. APPLICATION

  • Store in dry, cool place. Apply outside or in properly ventilated area.
  • Use when temperature is 5°C and above.
  • The substrate will be clean, dry (check moisture by running a finger on substrate) and free from contamination.
  • Cover adhesive within 20 minutes max.
  • Apply adhesive in ridges, or by spray, 4 ea/m in field zone, 6 ea/m at perimeter, on substrate. Leave 5-10 minutes open time to accelerate green strength. Roll the FB membrane into adhesive before skin formation and press down. Roll and press again after 30 minutes approx.
  • When applying on dry substrate, moistening the membrane’s backing with water will improve the green strength.
  • Depending on temperature/humidity, the adhesive will set within 1 to 5 hours.When working in temperature under 5°C, heat up the pail in hot water (50°C).

6. Safety

  • Avoid skin contact. Wash with soap and water.
  • In case of contact with eyes, wash with plenty of water. Call a doctor.
  • Do not drink, eat or smoke during application.
  • Do not inhale. Seek medical treatment if inhalation symptoms appear.
  • In case of fire , extinguish with water spray,foam or dry chemical.
