Flashing/Substrate Adhesive

1. DESCRIPTION

Synthetic rubber based adhesive designed for bonding the ST and RG Sintofoil membrane to concrete, masonry,wood, metal and other acceptable substrates*.

* Flashing/Substrate Adhesive is compatible with most solvent-resistant substrates. A preliminary inspection is recommended prior to application.

• Solid content 41% approx.
• Viscosity (20°C) 2.500 mPa.s.
• Mass / Volume 875 kg/m3
• Shelf life* 1 year

*When properly stored (under 25°C).

4.COVERAGE RATE

0.4 to 0.6 kg / m², depending on substrate type.

5. APPLICATION

• Store in dry, cool place. Apply outside or in properly ventilated area.
• Use when temperature is 5°C and above.
• The substrate will be clean, dry and free from contamination.
• Stir before application.
• Apply adhesive on both substrate and membrane. Apply in an even, smooth coat with a paint roller or a brush, avoiding globs and puddles. Allow solvent to flash off until adhesive is tacky. After checking, using the “touchpush” test, mate both surfaces and press with a roller.
• Do not thin this product. Clean the equipment with ethyl acetate or gas.

6. Saftey

• Avoid skin contact. Wash with soap and water.
• In case of contact with eyes, wash with plenty of water. Call a doctor.
• Do not drink, eat or smoke during application.
• Do not inhale. Seek medical treatment if inhalation symptoms appear.
• In case of fire , extinguish with water spray,foam or dry chemical.
