Thermal Shut Fasteners & Plates

1. DESCRIPTION

Especially designed for mechanically attached synthetic membrane roofing systems, these type items are used to secure insulation and membrane to the substrate: steeldeck, wood or structural concrete when ”thermal shut” effect is required.

2. PRODUCTS

• Ø 75 mm (blue) high density copolymer locking plates for insulation.
• 40 x 80 mm (blue) TPP and PP high density copolymer plates for membrane.
  Length (mm) - TPP: 30, 60, 90, 120.
  Length (mm) - TP: 25, 35, 55, 65, 85, 105, 115, 135, 165, 185, 195, 225, 255, 285.
• PS-4.8 fasteners for steeldeck and wood (to use with TPP plates).
  Length (mm): 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180, 200.
• BNRF-5.5 spikes for structural concrete (to use with TP plates).
  Length (mm): 28, 35, 45, 55, 65, 75, 85, 95, 105, 115, 125.
• Pre-assembled items (plate + fastener) available.

3. FASTENERS / SPIKES CHARACTERISTICS

• Material: carbon steel (PS-4.8) / stainless steel A-2 (BNRF-5.5 spikes).
• Reinforced truss head with Torx-25 recess (PS).
• Thread: 4.8 mm min (PS) / 5.5mm min (BNRF).
• Coating (PS): Enduroguard. Kesternich test (DIN 50018): >15 cycles.

4. PACKAGING

• Plates (TPP):
  1.000 ea/carton (30mm).
  500 ea/carton (60 thru 120mm).
• Plates (TP): 1.000 ea/carton (25mm).
  500 ea/carton (35 thru 105mm).
  250 ea/carton (115 thru 255mm).
• PS-4.8 Fasteners:

5. INSTALLATION

• Minimum penetration
  * Steeldeck / Plywood: + 15 mm.
  * Concrete: 25 mm.
• Drilling speed
  * Steeldeck / Plywood: 2.000 - 2.500 rpm.
  * Concrete: 1.500 rpm max.
  
  Note :Concrete requires pre-drilling (5.0 mm) using a 4.8 mm bit.
