AWM Protector Warranty, available up to 30 Years.

 

Quality control of the workmanship and material throughout any project has the largest impact on the life expectancy of a building and thus is key to the project's long-term investment potential. An independent audit and inspection is the best assurance of obtaining the highest quality in construction and finishing, which will underpin life expectancy, reduce maintenance costs, and benefit the Whole Life Costs of the building

 

Whilst many manufacturers offer long term material warranties they do not inspect or audit the project on a regular basis, regular being weekly. This can be viewed by clients as a weakness in the          warranty, as most problems which occur with system installations are usually a direct result of poor workmanship, or poor understanding of the requirements needed to meet building regulations. Interaction of trades onsite has the biggest impact on roofing and cladding failure, this can be reduced by involving AWM onsite at an early stage. AWM’s role onsite ensures that interacting details on the perimeter of buildings do not get forgotten, which then become expensive defects.

 

The Protector Warranty is only offered in partnership with AWM, IPS Rubberfuse being on of the founder member of audited manufacturers. All the benefits of the fully insured defect guarantee are utilised within the Protector Warranty, except the insured element. Weekly inspections of the roofing and cladding installation will take place and audit reports compiled. Records including photography will be used using AWM forms and will be provided to the sub-contractor, main contactor and client for information and recording purposes. All advice and site audits are covered by £5m Professional Indemnity Insurance
